MASTER OF ENGINEERING IN MECHATRONICS
GRADUATE PROFILE

Graduate from the program will have the necessary mathematical and computational knowledge to solve theoretical and practical problems and the pertinent design skills to comply with future changes in technology in the industrial sector. Likewise, she/he will be able to manage and develop research projects independently and in a team.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION / ATTAINMENT OF POSGRADUATE DEGREE

The University will grant the degree of "Master in Mechatronics Engineering" to students who successfully complete all the courses of the Program, provided they have met the following requirements:

  1. Complete all courses in the Program´s curriculum, with a minimum grade of 80 out of 100.
  2. Develop a quality research work under the direction of at least one member of the Basic Academic Core of the Program.
  3. Succeed the degree examination through the thesis defense.
  4. Brief on the research results of his/her thesis in a national or international congress, seminar, colloquium or academic event or;
  5. Undertake a technological development or research stay in a related institution of the country or abroad during the second year of the studies.

Degree examination will be done before a jury of 5 members (3 owners and 2 alternates), professors of the Basic Academic Nucleus of the Program as well as from other institutions. All with Master’s degree or Doctorate preferably.

Student's stay will be carried out within the framework of an academic agreement or industrial collaboration in order to allow the Master in Engineering candidate to develop his/her research work.
